Seven days after a customer fled with a Mercedes Benz GLB 250 valued at N55 million in the Federal Capital Territory, the Nigerian Police Force dispatched officers to investigate the case and they successfully located the stolen vehicle in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Mohammed Manga, the owner of the vehicle, confirmed the news and informed our correspondent that the suspect, identified as Henry, was still at large.

According to Manga, "The car was found today in Delta State. The police have possession of the vehicle. The Commissioner of Police in Asaba and his team were responsible for the recovery. They are currently searching for the suspect."

During a press briefing on Wednesday, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Wale Abbas, verified the retrieval of the vehicle and announced that a manhunt was underway to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

The Commissioner of Police stated, "After receiving a complaint on July 3, 2023, at around 5pm from a car dealer in Abuja whose vehicle was stolen by the suspect during a test drive on June 30, 2023, the CP-Decoy Squad swiftly acted on available intelligence. They conducted an operation in Ughelli town at approximately 1.15am on July 3, 2023, and recovered the abandoned Mercedes Benz SUV in a bush along Oteri road near Doctors Quarters, Ughelli North LGA. We are actively pursuing the suspect through an intense manhunt."
