The Catholic Church held a collective wedding ceremony to support couples in their marital journey.

During the ceremony, Rev. Fr Patrick Nnamani, Chaplain at St. Luke’s Chaplaincy, University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, emphasized the importance of maintaining a connection with God in marriage.

He encouraged couples to pray together, share meals, value one another, and resist external temptations. Referring to the wedding at Cana in the book of John, Nnamani stressed the spiritual aspect of marriage and the need to invite Jesus into their lives.

The President of the Catholic Men Organisation, Mr. Ezekiel Alagboso, explained that the organization organized the wedding to fulfill its duty of assisting others and bringing couples closer to the church. A participant, Mr. Victor Nwosu, expressed gratitude for the opportunity, viewing the wedding as a special moment that deepened his relationship with God. The event aimed to foster church communion and support non-communicants to engage with the church community.
